Source and freshness
A fact needs a source, a date, and a state.
Provider information can change. Find My Doctor is designed to retain where a fact came from, when it applied, what later evidence exists, and why it may no longer be shown.

Pre-launch status: the current provider package is a repository artifact, not a live refresh operation. No continuous source monitor, staffed refresh team, or provider-confirmation service is claimed.
Current source baseline
The prepared nationwide package is based on Medical Information Net open data from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, with a source snapshot date of 1 June 2026. The repository package records 47 prefecture shards and 87,622 provider records. These are package-integrity facts, not current provider participation or availability.
Separate evidence states
The model separates official-source facts, provider-confirmed facts, disputes, under-review facts, expired evidence, stale facts, suppressed facts, and unknown or unsupported fields. A provider confirmation is an overlay; it must not overwrite the canonical source history.
Aging and suppression
The current policy marks a source snapshot as aging after 90 days and stale at 180 days. Stale, disputed, suppressed, or metadata-incomplete facts fail closed rather than remaining confidently visible. A later qualified decision may change this policy, but it must be explicit and auditable.
What the source does not support
The current package does not support public claims about street address, coordinates, directions, phone, website, hours, open-now status, appointment availability, accepting-patient status, insurance, language support, accessibility, emergency capability, price, booking, quality, ranking, recommendation, or medical suitability. Municipality centroids and inferred coordinates are not provider locations.
Refresh controls
A future refresh would require acquisition evidence, immutable archive identity, hashes and counts, schema comparison, rights review, quarantine and rejection reports, reconciliation, rollback readiness, and a version ledger before publication. No change is treated as safe merely because a file downloaded successfully.
